I checked but all seems okay :/

On the internet, people says it may be about the powersuply of the USB-port.

But don't know how to check or to change power (and i changed to all of the USB-port)

It occured about 2 times/week before and now, 2 times/maps!

Really strange because otherwise my mouse works correctly.

It's been told, so don't mind be reiterating this again, because this is important:

Check your cable.
Shake your mouse, do rapid moves with it, wrap it around wrist or something.
My MX518 worked perfectly on desktop, but failed everytime I launched the game, until I actually replaced the cord.

vista might actually have the same issue, i suggest you to remove all bluetooth devices from the unit or make a rollback from the drivers (if you have any). I have a G15 for keyboard for playing and I have a mx5000 bluetooth keyboard for remote controll over my computer when im in bed watching movies ect. This problem happened to me also and I found out about it next time i tried to use the BT keyboard and did not work. Simple rollback fixed the issues.

do you have Win7 and any bluetooth devices on your unit ? Since if you do there was a windows update what fucks up bluetooth drivers and this problem of yours starts to happen even if there is no bluetooth connections active at the moment.

You need to open up bluetooth drivers and roll them back to previous version, problem fixed.

so basically my mouse goes mental every now and then while ingame (usb plug-in/plug-out sound) which can be frustrating during a fight.

i'm using a sharkoon fireglider. it happens with installed drivers and without.

this problem only occurs on tf2. everything is working fine in quakelive, worms and other games.
any hints to get things back to normal or is my mouse just dying?
