Problem is resolved - seems there was interference between my Wireless Card and Graphics Card. Wireless card out, dongle back in, everything's perfect now :)

So I got some new hardware for my PC yesterday, installed it and now I'm having random stutters both in game and out. Whole thing freezes, sound/video/input. Apparently my mic sounds worse in mumble than it did before, but that might be me not tweaking the sound card settings.
