Ok, I've managed to narrow it down even further, as little as tabbing into TF2 makes my mumble lag, I lowered the audio compression and that worked for a bit, but it's worse again today.

If you're with BT like your speed test suggests, I've been on the phone with them recently due to getting 10 - 50% packet loss on one of their core backbone servers and then getting 500-1000 ping at a hop through RapidSwitch. I was pinging over 1000 to the UK and 120 to West Coast American servers like normal which was crazy. I only saw this through TF2/Steam as well rather than just through browsing. Pingplotter is a great program to analyse things and I'd recommend giving BT a call if there are issues.

it's more likely to be the mumble client, probably too high quality settings. TF2 only uses about 10kb/s iirc and you cant "fix" that, try lowering the sound settings instead.

Sup.

Um, I havn't really known where to start with troubleshooting this, but it seems that if I start TF2, (or HoN, I think) my ping shoots up immediately. I mean, it's literally so bad that if I'm in mumble, I can be chatting to people, start up TF2 to play a match, and people cannot understand what I'm saying, and all my favorite servers show about 500 ping.
