What command? =x

in his case
play “qbeep.wav” <--- this is the "play" command
in my case its
play "q3.wav"
so the config would look like this afterwards:

cl_ragdoll_fade_time “5″
tf_dingaling_wav_override “qbeep.wav”
cl_interp “0.0152″
play “qbeep.wav”

I want to use the quake hitsound in fragga's dingaling, and it works fine, for about fifteen minutes of playing, Suddenly all hitsounds disappear, as well as the backburner flaming sound and the minigun sound along with other sounds. Resetting the sound using snd_restart works for the ingame sounds, but the qbeep of course disappears due to being cleared out of the game cache, forcing me to reboot to get it back. Here's my autoexec if that could shed some light on the issue.

play "qbeep.wav"
cl_ragdoll_fade_time "5"
tf_dingaling_wav_override "qbeep.wav"
cl_interp "0.0152"

But it doesnt end there. Trying to solve this I tried removing everything connected to the custom quake hitsound and get the default TF2 one back, with no luck. I have checked the box in the advanced multiplayer options, but still no hitsound. Solutions from the ever-helpful etf2l forums?
