Steam download mess up

aight, so i bought a game on steam (for the 1st time, everything else on dvd :3). after a couple of hours of downloading, it restarted itself to 0%. 2nd time, after some hours, went back to 0%. however, it said (i could only start the dl by launching game) on the 1st time before restart 4 hours 50 mins remaining.
after the 1st restart it said 2 hours 30 mins
and after the 2nd 1 hour 50 minutes
anyone else has had this problem on steam, and is there any solution?
it may solve itself, as the time goes down with each restart.

Restart steam, delete clientregistry.blob, restart computer, defrag, reinstall steam, reinstall windows with fresh reformat, profit.
(One at a time, not all at the same time.)
i dont blame them, im a worse troll
still, anyone has an answer?
well, i usually just delete my clientregistry.blob file. it works very often
it’s located in C:/programfiles/steam

what he said delete clientregistry.blob then restart steam it will download the file again and usually everything is fine
if it doesnt work then you are probably lacking jiggawats in your prolapse filter

Try to change the download region in the Steam options.
can be locked i guess, problem solved. after 6 more restarts of the dl, with each the speed got quicker and it finally dled.
