Quoted from AcidReniX

I used to do a lot parkour when i was in my mid-late teens but I soon came to realise that unless you have a gym with the right facilities, you have to go and practice on the street. There's something a little weird about a grown man vaulting over rails and climbing on bus stops when you are still learning. It just looks like you are reckless or drunk.

It's fine if you are awesome at it, or young, but I can't say i'm particularly either, so therefore I stopped and bought a pair of powerisers a few years back instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1O1YaD-Gpw

Now I just look like a big kid but I look damn cool being one!

* it's not me in the video.

I practice parkour during the summer (mainly because of asthma) and I can tell you no one is more impressed then seeing a guy pulling medicore moves then this :)
I've had people nearly driving their cars into ditches when they drive past me practicing (and I'm by far good compared to these traceurs)

If you go into the definition, there is no good or bad in parkour. The ultimate measurement of accomplishment should be your own! Parkour is an awesome way to train up your confidence, in everything. By setting small goals and accomplishing them you can recover from almost anything and personaly I wouldn't mind seeing parkour practiced more then the so called psychiatrics (personal opinion).

I've never met anyone who ridicule me for practicing this, I'm more met with admiration and respect for actually following something I love. Besides, if you like to lift static weights in a sweaty gym go ahead, personally I find the outdoors much more satisfying.
You train your whole body and mind.

Here are some random vids off youtube I like;

Hohoo! Parkour. Are there any traceurs who also love tf2 besides myself and apparently the OP? :) Would be nice to know. Especially if you're from finland.

(Edit: term "traceur" has come to mean a parkour practitioner. Now you know.)
