I do enough all the time, so I dont need to justify to myself that Im doing good just for this one hour
Its kind of annoying when its “1 hour” – it should be an on-going thing!

Had dinner by candlelight, it was moderately fun. Not sure if the planet is any less fucked though.

Well hmm… lets see.
To stop global warming (assuming all guesses are right which they probably aren’t… being just educated guesses and all), we need to cut our energy usage by 50%. Doing this, cuts 0.01% of the energy used just by your lights per year.
Not quite going to cut it.
We need new sources of power, not stuff like this. Infact its counter-productive as it lul’s people into a sense of false security.
Still, Candle-lit dinners are nice. :)
We had this in Denmark for around 2-3 hours. it didn’t help much, as many people said, it makes it worse, not only because people get the “we did something good, lets do this ONCE a year” feeling, but also because people turns on candles in their homes, and candles/fire use like 10x times as much CO2 as a normal light bulb.
No, I won’t.
