So to sum up what has happened.

-Portal gets an update. The update details state ” Changed radio transmission frequency to comply with federal and state spectrum management regulations”
-The update adds and achievement called ‘Transmision Recieved’ with no directions as to how to get it.
-Radios have been added to the game that when correctly activated emit either morse code or strange static.
-Turns out that the morse code (as well al ‘the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’ and ‘LOL’) also talks about a user name and password.
-It also turns out that the strange statics are infact pictures encoded to transmit over radio waves. When run through and image processor they produce the images.
-The string of numbers in the images are put in order and run through a ‘MD5 hash’ and spit out a phone number.
-After phoning the number with no luck, it is quickly agreed that it is infact a BBS number.
-The user name and password from the morse code is entered into the BBS login screen.
-And voila! Crazy ascii art and mad crap about honey bees.

This is as far as the steam forums has got to while decoding this absolutely epic story!

edit: im thinking half life 3 tbh, with the portal story linked. i couldnt imagine them releasing just ep3 with slightly updated graphics after such a long time.

But when played normally, it sounds like glados is saying “Get out” with the SMG sound from HL2.
tbh, I think this is going to confuse the hell out of people who buy the next valve game who just cba to follow crazy things like this.

Only thing I think you have missed out is the “GLaDOS v3.11” note on the ASCII.

People are interpreting 3.11 as 11th March, the day at which Gabe Newell is receiving an award at the GDC; some people are expecting some kind of announcement as to what this is all about.
