Can anyone help im having a problem which is making my computer unusable, its been working fine since i got it just over a month ago but since yesterday its been crashing very frequently, forcing the computer into power saving mode i cannot turn the monitor back on it just comes up with “Power saving mode dell st2410”

In the background i can hear teamspeak 3 working but i cannot talk, all i can do is turn my pc off and use it until it crashs again :(

Im using windows 7, core i7 920, radeon 5870, 6 gig of ram, 750 power supply

I have turned off power saving mode in the windows 7 options, put performance onto high and disabled the monitor turning itself off into power saving mode but it still does it!

To top it off right at this moment im missing our league match :(

correct me if I’m wrong, but what’s happening is that you lose video connection to the monitor, and the monitor then goes into power saving mode? In that case it sounds like it’s your videocard or it’s driver that’s malfunctioning

Yep that sounds about it :(

Anathema

He would be able to speak even if no monitor was connected at all?

Could be a loose pin in your monitor cable check there not touching etc

Well ive just pushed all the connections in the case in and it hasnt crashed for a couple of hours, so hopfully it was a lose wire somewhere, but thanks for the tips everyone tommrow will be the true test!
