Hello, I just bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R CoP on steam today and it says it’s 100% ready and when I try to launch it it says it’s unavailable and i should try again later, i waited a while and tried again (like 3 hours) but still doesn’t work, can anyone help?

Delete clientregistry.blob in your steam directory, restart steam.
Try Verifying game cache, or re-downloading it completetly.
tried deleting appupdatestats.blob/clientregistry.blob from the main steam dir whilst steam is closed? usually one of the above is the culprit with errors like that.
did you buy the “loyalty” edition? if so, do you own either of the previous Stalker games…?
(loyalty edition wont work without a previous stalker game in your steam account)
(or something like that…)

Yup… but I don’t think it’s possible to buy the loyalty edition without another stalker game on your account (if you have any Stalker game on Steam you get two small links in your tools tab that check if you have any Stalker games on your account)
Epic game though, hope you get it working :) I’m like 30 hours in to the game or something now and I’d guess I’m not even halfway through the story…
Try the options other people gave you and get back if it doesn’t work. Sounds more like a steam issue than something with the game tbh

Since there’s no other Stalker threads on the forums and making another one would be a waste:
I made an easier Russian dialogue mod that goes in the gamedata folder rather than replacing your localization file. It’s friendlier with mods; I tried using the old localization replacement and it gave me russian text when I used a single text mod. It’s also smaller!
This is the full version (45MB). It will change all spoken audio back into the original Russian:

The english voice acting will annoy the crap out of you after a while… highly recommended for atmosphere as well. Not my mod, don’t take credit for it.

This game is awesome. Illness put me in bed 14-18 hours a day the past five days, rest of the time I’ve been playing this — finished it last night after an 10 hour session, I just couldn’t let go. Perfect “I’m bored and have nothing to do!”-game.
after playing modded SoC, those sequels dont feel nearly as good, but still CoP wasnt all that bad unlike clear sky.
they could have put in a bit more content (pripyat is almost empty) and a bit less bugs
