I was raging picked up your gun with no ammo in it :D
have to admit it does make sense to keep the gameplay that is so famous. The game isnt broken but it is old. so they updated the graphics and kept the gameplay. sound plan imo.

It might be good. But who is going to play it? Top level 1.6er definetley aren’t as they make so much money playing 1.6 same for top CSS players. With all the big names in these communities sticking with the same game, all the fans will still be watching 1.6 or CSS, so no big LAN event is gonna choose CSP over 1.6 or CSS.
Big LAN sponsors sponsor for either of two reasons.
Attention – The games with the biggest amount of people watching – 1.6 in this case
Or
Graphics/Attention – The prettiest game with a lot of fans – CSS in this case
So CSP is now the middle child that doesn’t really win on gameplay when you compare it to 1.6 or graphics when you compare it to CSS.
Hopefully Evil a few leagues and tournaments will get behind it and offer decent prizes, that’s what it needs really.

i think its too late evil but i keep hope :D
its a great game and from what ive seen, allot of the 1.6 community are enjoying it – the source scene on the over hand arent too sure (probably because it actually takes skill to play unlike css)
when the new models/animations come in to play we should have a better idea of how sucesfull its really going to be
also its worth remembering that most of the top 1.6 players are behind this project – especially in america
personally if i was still playing cs i’d move to csp without any hesitation (once the new models/animations are released)
ps. if you havent seen the new models/animations yet see – http://cspromod.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2208&sid=42fb5d9b4cf87698860776bf88f49316#p35968

Played it yesterday, anyone know a server where awps are limited ? played on a dignitas labelled one yesterday and out of the 8 players on my team, 4 had awps at one point. snore.
I’ve got a couple of publics setup. Still learning how the game plays atm so atm, only changes from default are:
alltalk on
friendlyfire off
mp_forcecamera 0 (allows you to spec players on both teams while dead)
So ye, I’ll see how it plays out.
