k so , i bought a new pc and I was trying to play with my tft native resolution, 1680×1050. But whenever i switch to that resolution my desktop stays out of place + black bars everywhere :(. And I could get my native resolution to work with my shitty 8600gts.

gpu- hd5770
tft – vw202 20.1″

using w7 ultimate x64
Catalyst™ Control Center Version 2009.1124.2131.38610

suggestions?

Download screen drivers, when you change to ur native res and u get the black bars. Press the auto adjust button on ur screen

Are you using the -high launch options or changed the priority in the taskmanager? Because that only works on 4×3 aspects and forces it to 4×3 all the time.

Those would be Catalyst, which he already has (assuming the OP is correct).
Have you uninstalled your nVidia drivers?
