last week latvians ddosed some UK Internet provider and denied access to web for all their clients for over 12hrs… so what?? everything was done with botnet and for all we know it could be anyone, but most likely russians… same for this topic…
reading malware reports, the ammount of OS’es infected is incredible, usualy clients dont even notice it, but if ur infected your browser sends out info that u are… basicly letting any web to know it, and infect ur pc in any needed way, simply injecting malware
bottom line: please use windows update

Animal, Windows is an inherently insecure OS. Just take a look at how UNIX systems and you will maybe begin to grasp how IMMENSELY flawed it is, thats why any remotely intelligent person uses Linux/BSD on servers (although of course, you do need to set everything up properly to keep it secure).
Heres my 2 cents. I run NO Anti-Virus on my windows desktop. NONE. However, neither do I click on anything remotely dodgy and if I were to get a virus (believe me, i would notice), I would then run a virus scan from a Ubuntu live disk and reformat. Its less effort than trying to keep it secure.
