aight, i was hoping if anyone could help me out here.
after i came back from a 2 week holiday, i was dying to start and play some TF2, so after unpacking all my stuff, i plugged my PC back into the power, pressed the power button and… nothing happend.
after turning it off again, i waited a few seconds (30) and restarted it (but keeping everything plugged in and the PSU on), this time all the fans started working, the HDD’s started spinning but there was no image or any other signal coming from the case (including no beeps from the case speaker), no power though the USB ports or anything.
so far, i have tried some other things to try and repair it, including replugging every power connector (no luck), replacing the videocard (no luck), i even cleared the CMOS (again, no luck).
the only other time that i have seen something happen like this is when a mate of mine forgot to plug in his CPU power connector in his mobo, making me assume this is either the PSU, the CPU or the motherboard that is probably broken.
any suggestions on what i could do? if not, ill have to figure out something i guess
edit: i apearantly did an appauling job at clearing the CMOS earlier, i removed the battary for about 15 minutes this time, properly clearing the CMOS, and HURRAY, it works!

in most cases if pc isnt working just from standing still, its because of short circuiting from dust…yeah even that can happen
