Tremulous is also a very awesome game, sadly its mostly dead now afaik. :(

Source seems to have a large comunity worldwide, but the comunity is mostly full of dumbfucks and dickheads to play with/against.
Natural Selection is by far the most in depth competitive game I’ve ever played with a high skill curve and mixing teamwork and strategy. It’s in my opinion the best gamer for comp. play.
It’s a HL mod and so requires you to have a valid purchase of Half-life (like £2.99 now?). There is still a small scene for it, but that scene has been strong and stayed at a constant level for ages now.
Hahaa, I was sure Gibbz would be mentioning NS here when I read the op :P
But in reality, the scene is too small and generally shitty plagued by a-holes.

stock cod4 is so shit with ppl camping and gettin stupid airstrikes and stuff. hardcore is even worse cos it actually promotes camping. promod wins. simply.
