So the season ended and there’s a gap now and I dont have anything to play. So do you guys know of any other competitive shooters?
I’ve tried CoD4 a while back, but it sucks imo (didn’t tried the promod). I’m thinking of getting MW2. Anyone who actually TRIED competitive matches, say what you think about it, others, noones intrested in your opinion.
Also, I dont like Quake. That is, I’m more of team work guy, and there’s little to none team work there.
Oh, and of course I’ve played CS… who hasn’t… but I think it would be a MAJOR step back from TF2.

Oh, yeah, I thought about it.

Does it have k-style, like in GunZ and some other games? Becouse I didn’t find it fun to mash my keyboard to death (yes, I actually broke my keyboard while trying to master k-style on GunZ) just to learn how to avoid getting shot… The reason I’m asking is, that what it seems to me from all gameplay movies I saw.

Quake live is funny if u just need a break from tf2 for a while.. and you can play it alone :D Also you can try MW2… pcws are very funny with friends.. ( we lose every esl match ) ^^

Natural Selection is by far the most in depth competitive game I’ve ever played with a high skill curve and mixing teamwork and strategy. It’s in my opinion the best gamer for comp. play.

It’s a HL mod and so requires you to have a valid purchase of Half-life (like £2.99 now?). There is still a small scene for it, but that scene has been strong and stayed at a constant level for ages now.

Enemy Territory best teambased competitive game ever period! Just waiting for ET Live to be announced ^^

True that, too bad payload in tf2 isn’t half as awesome.

At least that way NS2 will be less of a disappointment :D
