how could anyone play competitive mw2 at this stage...
seriously I've been playing the game for weeks and I cant imagine it played seriously: there is NO BALANCE between most of the tools and there are some GAMEBREAKING BUGS not fixed yet (care package + marathon + commando)

Dude I didnt play competitive cod4 for the same reason. I can understand them removing things like martyrdom, triple frags, and rifle mounted nade launchers. Or maybe even removing the auto snipers.
But to limit the game to essentially 2/3 weapons is kinda pathetic. Personally it just goes to show 'pros' are never happy until they can guarentee they have exactly the same shit as another person, this is how they show how skilled they are I guess. Personally I feel it shows far more skill to out wit and out play your opponent by adapting to their weapon, playstyle etc.

Also I believe the lack off crosshair is to discourage hip firing as its not quite as inaccurate as its made out to be. I personally prefer the ironsights to most of the attachments anyway so nocrosshair isnt a problem for me :P
The reason for the game modes is probably due to time on each mode, ease of play and which is the most popular. 5CP is the most popular mode on tf2 but its in no way the fastest.

Anyway TLDR - CoD games are basically aim only games, where strategy and tatics come second and outplaying another person comes down to who saw the other first.
This comes from someone who thinks the MW series is awesome, but I refuse to play beyond public due to 'pro' mentality which ruins any variety in games.

ps. TF2 seems to be a sort of exception hence why I try and play it competitively :D

Cheers.

Why do you ask us? We play tf2 not mw2. Doesn't the league where you play mw2 have any forums where you can ask the guys who actually set the rules? I bet you would get a hell of a lot better answers there.

This is the off-topic section, so people are allowed to ask questions like this here, however I do agree with you. Why bother asking in ETF2L? On the logical side of things, you would have more answers asking at a Modern Warfare 2 forum, would you not?

Anyways, my view on this is that it's kind of a promod as such? the rules kind of form a manual promod, imho

A few reasons:
-I've seen a few topics talking about mw2 so I thought pepole who played competetive @ other games will probobley try mw2 also. guess I was wrong.
-its one of the few abroad forums im still active at and its nice to get some opinion. also there are some pro's hidden around here so I thought I might get an answer here. I dont see how it bothers you.

@ DK-tf2 is dead man. mw2 is so isnt. =3
@Jonni-havent seen FMJ yet so after sending me videos of pyle killing himself I ask you for NO MORE SPOLIERS
