Funny that you'd mention. I've been having the exact same problem recently. It was really annoying while playing MW2, not so much with TF2, because i play that windowed (so it gets re-focused immediately cause i click the window).

Anyway, besides installing MW2, the only thing i changed recently was upgrading mIRC to version 6.35. (I have it along with NNScript.)

As i have mIRC running pretty much all the time, that might be the troublemaker. WIll watch closer.

Did anyone else having this problem recently change their mIRC version?

I got so many stupid replies to this, I'm bursting.
I'll give you just the best four;

- "Game to desktop"? Is that nerd for "ass to mouth"?
- Are you sure you aren't pressing the windows key?
- Maybe that's what you had coming for buying MW2
- Have you tried turning it off and on again?

To try and add something remotely useful, are you sure it's not something to do with mumble/steam/xfire/whatever overlays?

Well since yesterday any game I play will automatically switch to desktop after about 15-20 minute intervals.. the game itself doesnt actually crash as I can just open it back up and carry on with whatever.. but its still a great nuisance? Happening in all games.. tf2, l4d2, mw2 etc.

Anyone have any bright ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Shifty

Edit: I havent actually changed anything on the pc, it just started doing this.
