oh fs, it’s like a bad aprils fools joke. It’s like id Software really would add Orbb mounts to Quake Live.
Anyone even just slightly interested in MW2 should really consider waiting at least two three weeks to see how things work.

What kinds of pings did you get during your IWNet testing and what do you say is an acceptable ping?
Mackey-IW: I’ve been playing mainly with around 100ms ping and it was great.

What if other developers decide to follow this example and we get completely fucked up PC versions of all shooters?

That would be terrible, people would have to go back to playing actually good games such as quake.
I like how they so obviously have no idea what they’re doing, or even what they want. On one hand you have polarizing missions in SP that are meant for a “mature audience”, on the other you have (lack of) control(s) that would appall anyone but pre-teens. xD

anyway, there will always be developers who’d cater to the “competitive community”. If more developers go towards IW’s way, it will just open up the market for smaller devs to grab a larger audience by developing a “hardcore competitive game ™” as most comp types will be repulsed by shit like what IW is pulling.

Actually, Im happy that MW2 fails, because I hate CS and COD mp, and people will now stay/join TF2 and QL…
But damn, even I am completely shocked with this… Most retarded news I ever heard in all the story of PC games…
