You would have to change both your motherboard and your ram.
Tbh if your looking to upgrade right now I'd go for an AMD/ATI configuration.
Or perhaps Intel/ATI, but i7 does cost alot more and only offers a slightly better performance in games.</blockquote>

intel/nvidia all the way tbh. Better OC possibilities  + better drivers.]]></description>

Ah right.  My CPU atm is the intel e6850 3ghz x2.  Was thinking of a new CPU but really cba to update my mobo as well.]]></description>

i will admit ati drivers r sometimes pants but atm they are getting better. just depends on your system]]></description>

take 4870 with 1024mb though!
i got the 4870 512 and in some games the lack of memory is anoying.</blockquote>

Ive got the 512 and to be honest it works perfectly, if i was to buy a new graphics card right now i would of course go for the 1024 and crossfire :) but thats what im planning on doing in the future, problem is id need a new mobo and then i would feel obligated to get a new CPU and new ddr3 ram :x]]></description>
