If you make a shortcut from steam it won't be an actual shortcut. You need to make a shortcut manually, point it at steam.exe and add -applaunch 440 in the path, ie. "c:/program files(x86)/steam/steam.exe" -applaunch 440 Then change the icon and pin it to your taskbar and voila.

Right-click the HL2 icon, right-click the HL2 icon in the little popup, click properties, click change icon and go to this path: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/resource/game.ico I corrected myself, please edit your post after doing this :)
Nope doesnt work either :( Can't even change the icon from properties. Tried to move hl2.exe to Desktop and then pin it but appears the following message: Setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesn't exist in subdirectory 'hl2'. Check your game parameter or VCONFIG setting. What comes to my mind is changing the icons from C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/hl/resource/game.ico to the ones you said.
