im no fanboy ... but you can build a pc with amd parts that are chipper and way better than intel or gforce, for example AMD fx 8350 (8cores 4ghz) is less 60 euros and have better performance than a high end i5 or a hd 7990 that is the best gpu on the market that can destroy the gtx780 and is the same price, amd sometimes is too underrated

Also, leaving performance out of it entirely, Intel have almost always produced higher quality products than AMD. Some people want to spend as little as possible - they fanboy AMD (for good reasons too, not judging!). Other people want Quality. They go for Intel. AMD had an era where its CPUs would outperform anything Intel could come up with, but that's a long long time ago. (1995?)
