fyi. a fiber cable was cut down earlier today which caused network issues for leaseweb, ovh, hetzner and other hosting companies in europe. It appears that the fiber cable that was connecting from frankfurt to belgium (DECIX) got cut off. So some of western european traffic got disruptet. So the webhosting companies had to reroute their network traffic through a different network which ended up being heavily congested.
