depends on your desk i would say. i had a pretty nice surface on mine.
I used to play q3 rocketarena with a low sens on my desk for years, because i could not find a mousepad which was big enough (10 years ago).
but when the desk material is at its end it's a lot more expensive to replace than a pad :&#62;

    	    <description><![CDATA[Aside from the apparent sensor issues (haven't noticed personally) and bootup problems with some motherboards (the onboard shit in the mouse conflicts and you have to unplug the mouse when booting up your PC) I fucking love my Xai. It's actually breaking now but I think I just fucked the wire or my USB ports somehow because I've had it for over 2 years and never had any problems.]]></description>
