Same way clothing fashion works as well. New trends = people must keep buying new products to stay "trendy", when there is really no need for new clothes. Consume, consume and consume!

actually this "trend" is happening because people start to realise how better were the keyboard before the rubber dome crap you can get now.

Also, unlike you my RJ went much better when i got my first mechanical keyboard ^^
Oh and i'm not surprised you don't like your new keyboard, after reading what you said on trend, i guess you're the kind of person which like to stay out of it to be different ?

But anyway, mechanical keyboard are very different in term of feeling so there is some people who won't like it for sure. mk90 are pretty well rated though and i dont understand it can be that bad.

I have been using the Corsair K90 for 2 months+ now. I've never been so dissapointed in a KB.

1. Cherry MX Red switches feels really bad. Pretty loud, bad feel, not really particularly good for gaming from what I feel either. I rocket jump like shit with this KB (even worse than before that is).

2. The keys hangs like 1-4 times per day if I spend 10 hours infront of the computer coding. I think it happens if I hit a button hard and quick. Extremely annoying, when for example backspace keeps deleting text or some button starts doing "KKKKKKKKKKKKKK" until you hit it again.

3. Build quality of the KB is great, but what does that matter if the parts you use are bad.

Don't buy. I have a feeling these mechanical keyboards for gaming is like 3D TV. Things there are really no need for and marketed as "revolutionary" just to make people buy new stuff.

I can understand people typing a lot may get Cherry MX Blue for typing. But for gaming? Meh. Get any digital KB and it will work just as good, if not better (at least they don't hang and sound so much).
