I don't want to hijack the thread, but I guess I'd better answer: I've tried: - changing dpi (400/800/1800) - switching to a different mx518 - switching to a different computer - reinstalling setpoint - downgrading setpoint - upgrading setpoint - cleaning the optical laser on both mice using microfibre cloth running setpoint 6.15.6, with a w7 acceleration fix. It happens about once in 10 times when I put the mouse down on the mousepad, whenever I move the MX518 vertically it has some nasty zig-zag lines on the vertical axis like this: http://i.imgur.com/o1cAk.gif - or worst case scenario: http://i.imgur.com/2Cm5V.gif (that's supposed to be a straight line :c) Haven't actually tried changing the polling rate, but I'll try it and get back to you.
polling rate should be the main issue i think (i'm using cheese mouse fix (no setpoint) + i've ocd it over 500 Hz).
