DeathAdder V1 is still the best mouse at the moment. As for keyboards, just get something a PS/2 interface (NOT USB with a PS/2 adapter... that would defeat the point), keyboard is all about what you want in terms of shape and size (of course, the same applies to a mouse, but the sensor is important too).

I thought firmware updates fixed the problems with the S3888 sensor in the 3.5g Deathadder? Last time I checked, the two sensors perform pretty much identically now.
