To get people to register on their forum.
Pretty pointless considering you’ll get more brand recognition from people having it on their desktop than arbitrarily registering on a forum, but whatever.
How is using a wallpaper support? Unless of course, you stream videos or something since people actually are seeing it then.

Because they are more likely to know your name and recognise the brand if it was their wallpaper for 2 weeks than if they saw it and couldn’t be bothered registering on a forum.
