if it freezes at the post screen, it means there's something about the hard drives (mostly), so try to check with another cable or with an another hdd

and i guess, the beeps depend on your mobo, see your manual

Hey,
I was watching the TCM vs. IDK? match yesterday when suddenly my PC decided to overheat and crash. This is not uncommon as of yet I have no case fan. Generally, I just leave it for 5 minutes or so and re-boot it. However, this time I re-booted it and it wouldn't go past the black screen with white writing (I cant remember what it's called), it also made 3 rapid beep sounds (if it helps). I pressed f1 (to get to the setup window thing) and exited it to try and start windows. It won't start windows and I get a pop-up telling me to scan my computer to see what's wrong. The scanner finds no problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Stark
