I do find a point here. It indeed should be the wildcard -using team's responsibility to make the initiative, and contact the other team early enough. For obvious reasons.

It feels plain wrong to have a scheduled match being forced to reschedulement, only to find out the opponent doesn't do a single effort to easen the reschedule. Imho it is just correct that a default win would be granted to the team who didn't use the wildcard, if the wildcard users remain inactive long enough, not making any attempts to find another date for the match.

That is a very bad idea indeed for obvious reasons, and that's why we don't do it that way. If you take a wildcard, both teams have to agree on a new date, within those 2 extra weeks.

Yes, and if the team that took the wildcard happens to be 'unavailable' for 12-13 days and then comes back on day 14 (= deadline for the season) saying they want to play, then what? You gotta play it or get a default loss?

If you don't act on a wildcard and find a new date, it is as much your fault as that of the other team.

That's flat out ridiculous.

Yes, taking wildcard can turnout bad if some bloody bastards take it. But really, are there so many out here?

People are bastards when it means promotion to a higher div I bet.

Don't see the problem with including a minor addition but w/e, tired of discussing this.

I'm curious: where does it say the team taking the wildcard has the exclusive right to choose a new date they like? That is a very bad idea indeed for obvious reasons, and that's why we don't do it that way. If you take a wildcard, both teams have to agree on a new date, within those 2 extra weeks.

Main additions imo should be:
- If a team takes a wildcard, it should be up to that team to re-arrange a new matchdate (within 14 days).
- The new matchdate should have to be proposed at least 48 hours before the match at hand, if the team responsible don't propose a new date within 2 weeks the match should be defaulted to the other team.

As it is now a team can gain an additional advantage from taking a wildcard (other than not having to play the match on the original date) near the end of the season which is quite absurd.

For example, say a team takes a wildcard exactly 14 days before the deadline of the season, they will be able to pick any date they like (if they feel like delaying the proposal of a new date), even the day of the deadline (since deadline is at midnight), no matter if the opponent is ready for it or not (assume they're bastards that can't be reasoned with).

That team gained not only the advantage of postponing the date, but also the advantage of being able to pick the date that's possibly the worst for their opponents, doesn't look fair to me.
