Well, I'm not entirely sure what's supposed to happen, but I would have just thought that any monitor made within the last 10 years should just display "sync out of range" or "rate not supported".

I modded pldx.cfg so it would actually use full graphics (which it doesn't by default even if you set them to on, it just does some things like picmip). If you want to use it with pldx, I can upload my modded pldx.cfg.

AFAIK Source engine doesn't have the -noipx parameter, since it doesn't even have IPX support. I'm not even sure the noforce commands work on Source, they might be only for CS 1.6.

People add lot of things and don't even know if they have any effect.

EDIT: I checked hl2.exe and engine.dll, -noipx isn't here, there is only -noip. There is none starting by -noforce either. I'll check other dlls.

EDIT 2: -noforcemaccel and -noforcemspd are in client.dll
-noforcemparms isn't here, but there is -useforcedmparms. I guess noforcemparms is here by default, and you disable it by doing -useforcedmparms.

EDIT 3: Checked all, -noipx, -nojoy, -runsafe and -noforcemparms don't exist.

it was just an example :) I don't really have a idle.cfg, and my movie.cfg is 5 lines long, I just started it yesterday, autoconfig sets for me everything on high so I just need to set AA & AF to max :>

looks interesting.

EDIT: A suggestion -- I see that Profiles.param actually doesn't just store which checkboxes are selected, it actually stores the whole command line and then the program ticks the boxes on launch based on the command line itself. As such, surely it wouldn't be so hard to allow for direct user editing of the command line from the program (and not just through Profiles.param)?

yep, I did that before too and it was very complex to convert the parameters to a settings file. I'll try to add a overwrite selected profile or Load selected profile
