Your right, you have to be serious about it and some people are. But it has its uses, I've played TF2 on 512mb RAM and thats a painful experience. Only did the m0re highfps.cfg test with dxlevel 81. Win7 x64 Ultimate (Just did a clean install) E6750 @ 2,92ghz & 2GB DDR2 800 8600GT 512mb 1920*1080 8686 frames 50.732 seconds 171.21 fps ( 5.84 ms/f) 20.034 fps variability

The clean re-install also has it's own magic.
