Yeah, I had about 6 come back in that fashion. I almost deleted them too, but realised they were the ones that were missing...

I'm gonna try to paraphrase this but it's tricky to explain. Before i post a rant on the steam forums about it, i'd like to ask if anyone knows a way to fix this problem:

First few weeks of the random drop system, i was linked to the program. I kept finding duplicates whilst playing on pubs and i felt like i was going to be left without important tools during PCWs etc. So i started using the program to get the weapons i felt i needed.

Once i had them, i never used it again. Just for the record i never used it for hats, hats are irrelevant to me, never got one, never idled for one. I only used it during that first week, 3 or 4 times overnight.

Skip forward. TF2 devs decide to reintroduce milestones. I complete all the milestones, complete my weapons collection, and i'm quite happy with it all.

Skip forward a few months, i'm getting random drops and my backpack is chock full of shit. So i deleted a load of items, keeping 2 of each. Some items are unlocked/discovered, some are idled. I RANDOMLY delete some of the unlocked/discovered ones and keep the idled ones. There is no way for me to tell the difference between the 2

Skip forward again. TF2 devs announce that the program is "cheating" and anyone who used it will get their items taken off them. The items i got from idling are removed from my backpack. The net result is that i now DO NOT HAVE some of the unlocks because i cleared them out of my backpack for space.

I am once again left at the mercy of the random drop system to recomplete my collection.

----

Is there a fix for this that i don't know about? A solution? Anything? Or should i go and rant about it on the steam forums?
