Any one knows something about this ?

Digiwill mate sounds like u have spyware...

Usually a little program installed via browsing in the background then it spams a ticker to loads of websites and pings them hence ur ping goes very high...

I'd suggest downloading

Spy Bot Search and Destroy its free and quite good
Also do a virus scan..

95% sure its a spyware thing dude unless your on wireless or something :P

Cheers

Yeah, if the FPS inbound is going crazy (i get this on L4D >.<) you can mess around with your rates to fix it. If this does turn out to be the problem ill try and work out what the command was :x

Hey lads,

My collegue has this weird problem, first everything was fine concerning his ping, just around 30-50 ms. When he joins a server his ping is fine, but then all of a sudden the ping rises to 1000 ms, fkin hel.

Config: WinXP Home, Ethernet connection, so NOT wireless when gaming

He tried:
- firewall off
- antivirus off
- starting windows without shit running on the background
- no special configs

Other games work fine (COD4 etc)

So again, this issue turned up like Chuck Norris on a wedding , say wut?

allright, all input appreciated!!

cheers
<3
Digi

P.S. I'll sing a song on mumble for free if you have the golden solution
