Well u have the home hub which means either it's been doing alot of updates for your home hub? and causing you to lag out.

Or

You have malware/spyware

Little program in the background or cookie session stored is referencing to a website of spyware content, which keeps pinging or asking for some of your connection every second constantly hence you get lag spikes and the hops!

May i suggest Spybot Search n Destroy! : > and do a virus check too...

BT are very reliable i'm with you however i don't use their poo home hub as it's poo!

Cheers

The lag is coming from your first hop, that's means your router/modem is really fucked up. If I was you I would claim a new one at your ISP ;)

ahoy beautiful people of the interwebs.

Now ive never been one for connection problems and my internets has always been rather reliable, however since I have came back from uni and now playing in what has to be regarded as the most uncomfortable setup ever it has decided to piss itself up the wall.

I constantly have a 300 ping in mIRC and streaming stuff on youtube has been very slow. I cant even play tf2 as wen i get into a server it just says connection error disconnect it T-MINUS .

I dont play that much anymore cos i cant really be arsed but would still like to dick about every now and again playing pickups and shit. I did a tracert cos im cool as fuck to www.jolt.co.uk and this is what it found. (it also timed out on a few occasions)

Duno what to think of this, any geeks out there wanna shed some light into it.

mIRC also has a nice LAGBAR that has sum stats. This is what that threw up.

Time connected:	21m 10s
Current lag:	313 ms
Average lag:	360 ms (from last 92 checks/23mins)

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I just want my solid internets back.

Oh yea, On BT, been on it for years, never had problems before, using bthomehub v1.0

brap

peace out
