it's no more impossible to flickshot with the sniper rifle than it is to flick rail.

op mess around with zoom_sensitivity ratio, funnily enough kluniq gave you exactly the value I use, and I chose it as it felt similar to cs.

there shouldn't be any accel as long as you ctrl+C'd your launch options (noforce cmds) over to tf2.

i think you're just experiencing the fact that the feel of sniping in tf2 is completely different to cs, and as I mentioned, feels more like railing.

Imo twitch shotting doesn't even work that well in tf2, seeing you'd have to twitch to the characters head, which is atleast hard and a bodyshotting sniper is pretty much worthless. I do think I'm a pretty decent sniper, and I usually don't twitch. Obviously my style of aiming doesn't suit everybody. :)

I have the following problem: When I got Multicore Rendering turned on and I'm zoomed in and overlooking a wide area of the map (eg fastlane, standing on the usual sniper spot on the far left beside the little house and overlooking the whole middle area), my crosshair lags a bit and isnt as responsive as it usually is (not seeing huge parts of the map). I dont suffer this problem without multicore rendering, so maybe you have a similar issue.

When I first started playing this game (coming from scoutzknivez in CSS) I thought sniper would have been my class. But like you, I don't aim, I flickshot. Gave up on sniping after 30 hours of pathetic results. If you do find something to make the aiming like CSS, please share :)

ok now I'm interested.
I am a terrible sniper compared to the amount of time I've spent playing it... thats because somehow I USED to be pretty good but from when I started playing only scout or soldier or medic in scrims (never touching the assassin again).
Point is I always read about this zoom sensitivity thing and I get how it should work but any career sniper caring to share opinions and actual numbers in the cfg about this?
I could perform some good shots sometimes but I end up missing cause maybe my sens is too high and I screw up when its the moment to scope in
