wait a sec ... whats wrong with having pretty gfx ? I run my system on top specs. I think im missing the whole picmib thing but thats cos i recently reformatted. I get a stable constant 70fps. Though I max it at that ... I guess some people have to play with 200fps ?

My misses plays the game casually too but she and I see little to no difference between 60 and 100 fps.

Id say who cares about fps as long as it can run smooth and looks how she wants that what you need.

If your monitor can only run at 60Hz on resolution you play there will be NO difference.

And I heard a rumor that people who play very rear can only see a difference up to 40fps and that pro gamers can see a diffrence up to 120fps on dynamical obejcts. I think its just a rumor though...

I used to play on an AMD +3800 x2 and x1600 se (which is about the same as a x600...) and got around 50 fps with the settings on menu low, and a some-what stable 100 fps with m0res config. And you don't really need a stable fps of >9000 for medicing. Besides, since she's propably a casual player, she won't notice the difference between say, 120 fps and 40. Plus, she can just buy a new one if she needs it, 75 quid is nothing tbh.

an E7200 is 10 bucks cheaper then what i posted, such a big diffrence it aint making

its not 500 bucks for just TF2, its 500 bucks for a compleatly new PC that can run TF2 properly

now, if tapley would have some old spare parts, you can make it cheaper, if not, i think 500 bucks is quite a decent price.
