I never let the dxlevel in the command line, but 2nd advice was the way to go, thx mate, appreciate ;) I must say I'm quite please with Schocky's cfg. Time resolutionfr3fou a.k.a. frufi – told me about UNPACK CORES at my laptop. I didn’t know that. Now everything is running AWESOME. Also suggested to switch to 4:3, 800×600, but that’s a res too low for me. Changes I made: Switches my res to 700×1280.I’m using R4NDOM CONFIG now.NoHats thing.From dx9 went to dx 8.1Remove some of the windows eye-catching effects to improve the alt+tabbing. (Thanks to stefaaan) This is now my configuration: download I did benchmark and now I have: 
2639 frames 34.632 seconds 76.20 fps (13.12 ms/f) 5.703 fps variability
