I would be less tolerant of opponents showing up late if it wasn't so pointless to try and find a game after kicking the opponents that showed up late. Almost all pcw's we do are either pre-arranged or found outside of IRC. If I have to kick my opponents for being late it could well take me another 10 minutes to find opponents. So at that point, why bother kicking my opponents who (for about 70% of the time) will still show up within a 10 minute margin of the starting point.

Honestly I would love that more teams would play later...
If you're on GMT at least where I am it's fairly hard to play from 20-21h (21-22 CET in this case) because most people are having dinner or away at that time.

You can sometimes find a war for those hours, but an official is impossible to schedule at that time , that has led to us particularly using lots of mercs on our games this season :(

in CS you could find another game within 2 minutes.
If you could do the same in TF2, people would.

CS had a very large population of teams, but also a large number of quick mix teams that wanted to find a game. Literally, you could grab 5 random players, go into a war channel, and have a game in 2 mins of your desired skill level. Also, you would play 1 map, so team's weren't tied up for an hour. They could play a game in a matter of minutes, and go grab the next one.

21:15, as said a number of times in this thread, is simply because teams play at 20cet. While teams are also often late for this 20cet game, it does mean that if they need to be on time for the 21:15 game, they might only have to change the time limit on the second map down to 25 minutes.

It basically allows teams to be a bit late, allows a small break for whatever reason. I'd personally rather see TF2 cut down to 20 minutes per map, but then it does mean less game time, as you're still not got to play 3 games a night.

When he is done with that he usually likes to take his Audi out for a spin so that he go visit his farm. Check that his ponies are ok, and sometimes change the water.

you say start at 20:00 and get 2 maps in, but lets be honest, how many times have you got two maps in that 75 Mins? Ive gone into a match night and have to be fucked about by a team because they say they have 6 and you wait 5-10 mins (10 is an over estimate, you get the idea). SO you leave and have to spend another 2 mins looking for a game, but you've already wasted some of that time and would struggle to get 2 maps in

It's more for prem/1/2 teams who tend to organise pcw's ahead of time. They always search for 20/21:15, it makes sense.
