Indeed, funny thing is, that the creator of just that map was the one who created "cp_egypt" & "cp_junction".

nah, i "like" small teams tbh. I guess i played arena on some pubs a bit too much, 4v4 is ok imo, cause the rounds are over quite faster.

Hm, myesss.
I guess that the pub way of Arena is pretty boring.
But I was aiming more at the competative way, Ive actually played a few arena matches ( 4vs4 not 3vs3 >_> ), and it sure could get very very intresting when it goes down to 1sv1 and the whole team is watching what you're doing.
:D
I know that people kind of hated the idea of CS in TF2, but if it gets more attention and more welcomed by Valve, maybe more people would start to accept it/like it?
Keep looking on the bright side, and learn how to be patient(sp?)? :)

That Sunder map looks alright, just lacks abit deatail but it seems pretty good.

I don't really play/like arena much myself. But when i do, late at night, there is 1 map that stands out from the pack. This is arena_sunder. Perfect gameplay for me.
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/64740

Now i've played none of the maps posted by defur, but they sure look catchy.

I am totally with waebi's stance on arena though. I don't want to wait, i wanna spawn!

However, late at night (preferably after midnight when everyone's a bit sleepy), playing with/against mainly people you know and who are in the same mumble channel, it's more enjoyable. Not too big groups ofcourse, 3vs3 or 4vs4 is big enough. Else it would take too long, and it would end up with the boring arena routine again.

That is the way arena is meant to be, not 12v12 during prime time.

I just dont like the way it's made... TF2, for me at least, means spawn after spawn, and not like CS/S waiting till all are dead. And yes ofc, the map are nice.

Um, its just annoys me that while Valve choose some random crap maps for the newest update when there are so many of the regular maps, they should consider looking into the arena maps in a update after the scout. Were in arena creating it certenly is quality over quantity.
I dunno about you guys but I could literatly imagine that valve could do this kind of stuff.
I looked through FPS banana and with just 5 pages I found THESE maps:

arena_harvest_v2
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/76268

arena_desolation_pb1
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/69701

arena_goldtooth
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/69235

arena_offblast_b1
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/73741

arena_backwash_b3
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/78865

arena_lighthouse_rc1
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/74150

arena_runoff_b1
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/69572

arena_sandshaft_b1
http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/79153

Arent they gourgeous?

If anything, I would suggest a arena map compitition like the map contest that is being held right now,. :D
Or a petition or anything!
Even tho' Arena style got a very negative feedback I still dont think it should be left out, if it just got more attention to these amazing maps instead of judging them on the revamps of the original maps ( eg. well/granary/badlands ) it could turn into something better.

( Sorry for poor spelling btw )
