QL will improve your quick thinking and prediction a fuckload more than cs. But for the raw aim on hitscan weps its probably around the same level.

To be fair, if it has to help you with your reflexes, you have to have them developed first. It's not a miraculous remedy for being bad at TF2. Same thing with cs anyway, but it's not like cs is a fast game. :D

CS has different game mechanics aswell. ScatterGun is hitscan, so playing a game with hitscan weapons can have an effect on scout aim I guess.

Q3/QL would probably help your reflexes, aim and quick thinking just as much as CS would.

Hud doesn't matter as long as it doesn't interfere with your vision, but I find a few modifications particularily useful.
Hud Crosshair and damage numbers http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/128/dmgnums20.png
Large scoreboard time http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/670/sbtimeleft.png
A minimal plain cross is small enough for precicion aiming and helps you with axes orientation. Choose a color that stands out, green or magenta.

Make a script like such to use different viewmodel settings with different classes. I use xslots for most classes, including scout. r_drawviewmodel 0 keeps your view clear and viewmodel_fov 0 removes hitscan bullet trails. Melee is the same for all classes.

I'm guessing he means Crosshair, but again that comes down to what you can focus on the easiest. I prefer a dot at about medium size for my RL, half cross with dot for SG and a white dot for Melee.
