Thanks animal, sound is fixed now, but I'm still getting packet loss/choke

I get it in 4 different ways
0 loss 0 choke
0 loss 10 choke
30 loss 0 choke
70 loss 30 choke

and its almost always those values, I've tried a lot of reg fixes with no results yet. Anyone with any ideas please feel free to post, I've phoned the ISP and they say the line is ok, so I'm thinking its a windows 7 problem. as its not just in TF2 that I'm getting loss, almost all the games are feeling this horrid effect :(

dont worry, first i tried to execute tf2 without config too, everything was good and then i replaced all my old folders (cfg, maps etc) and all was good again.
