What server is this on? If you are registered on the server (you can do this on mines and on the FB one i believe) and have recently reinstalled mumble, it'll just tell you that you have wrong password. Try connecting using a different nickname. All Mumble 1.2.x servers/clients are interchangeable, so I doubt that's your problem. What could be is that they're still running mumble 1.1.x (like 1.1.8) for a reason that's beyond me. In that case, mumble 1.2.x comes with a backwards-compability client, and the client automatically suggests to use that when the 1.2.x protocol fails. tl;dr: Client version is not your problem.
