Also one thing (pretty much personal pref) that you should (test) to enable is motion blur. Everything feels a bit smoother for me, and it feels like you have more fps. Ive heard various people disagree and agree with me. Look for "mat_motion_blur_enabled" Dont forget to read the instructions for the config etc edit: I meant you might get one or two more frames from the maxframes if you use it instead of highframes. You wont gain max fps by using the dx9 config

maxframes - lowest quality - best fps highframes - bit better quality - still good fps but not as much dx9frames - ok quality - still good fps but again not as much depending on ur pc you choose how bad you want the graphics basically
