Obviously not regardless of anything. I'm sure there are some dodgey custom maps with no skybox / bad optimisation or something that would own the setup. The PC isn't anything special, with an FPS config, a lot of machines can run at 300fps constant. Several people here are talking about highest settings, or default settings, and my computer would have no chance at running those at 300fps (Good thing I don't actually want those settings).]]></description>

    	    <description><![CDATA[I have a i5 2500K and a hd 6850. I didnt manage to get a solid 120fps with normal settings on all the time. Still drops when playing custom maps. But since i use the good old fps config i have no problems anymore. I am running tf2 on a 120 fps hd monitor.]]></description>

    	    <description><![CDATA[Running in fullscreen gives me 20-30 more fps, try that? And if it's something running in the background, just go onto msconfig.exe and uncheck everything on startup unless there's something you need (which is usually nothing). Getting rid of ragdolls, gibs, and facial expressions increased my fps by another 20-30 at least (removing eyes alone increased it by about 10). 

Just suggesting stuff that worked for me, not sure if it'll give you the same results. You could probably test out settings by just lowering a certain thing and seeing how much difference it gives.]]></description>
