Exactly, so if it was done througn official channel at i40, people would have an incentive to be at their PC's at 1900GMT (even if they were shit hammered) and try to play an official. I think it would be great!

The latter. It's just an idea that popped up. Dunno if it's doable, but maybe do half of the spots for i40 lanners and rest for non-lanners. It's going to be a long weekend, and I'm sure some teams would love to get some 'official gaming' in. Doing this with Multiplay might bring more exposure to ESH and possibly lead to ESH co-sponsoring a LAN in the future with Multiplay (maybe the lite series?). Speculate away!

Well you get near-LAN ping (>10, was 6 to mines) to pretty much any UK server, so I suppose it can be done. It also was pretty difficult to find someone to play against if you wanted to just have a laugh.

HIGH: http://www.esportsheaven.net/?page=tournament&action=view&tournament_id=114&content_id=468

see you tomorrow! (on time please)

Oh and about the LAN thing: what did you have in mind? I mean, there's a TF2 tourney at i40 already, and last time mole put up a loser's tourney for the ones knocked out in the groupstages. Whatever tournament ran at i40 can be done through the multiplay system, right?

Or were you thinking about some funky LAN vs online crossover?
