ETF2L is committed to making our league and community a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all players. As part of improving our efforts in this area, we are introducing a dedicated Moderation Team and a new Moderation Ticket system. This decision was made not only to strengthen our approach to community well-being, but also to take the burden of handling these sensitive cases off our tournament organisers, allowing them to focus fully on running competitions.
What is this about and what does this mean?
From now on, if you encounter issues such as harassment, hatred, or any other serious concerns during scrims, matches, or community interactions, you can submit a Moderation Ticket directly through the respective discord bot. This will allow our new Moderation Team to review and respond appropriately and in time, ensuring that everyone in our league can feel safe and respected.
The Moderation Team is a new Admin group within ETF2L dedicated to deal with cases of harassment or discrimination, step in to provide guidance when needed, and work to ensure ETF2L remains fair and respectful for everyone. For the safety of both players and staff, the Moderation Team will remain anonymous at all times. Submitted tickets are only visible to the Moderation Team and Head Admins.
Quick-Resolve & Case Transparency Policy
As part of our new internal policy, we aim to resolve cases within a 7-day timeframe, provided the case’s complexity allows it. This timeframe is divided into two phases: 3 days for communication and 4 days for conclusion.
While we are committed to increasing transparency, we will not be able to distribute or release any evidence that could lead to punishment, in order to protect the reporter’s anonymity and prevent further harassment or escalation. In cases where greater transparency is possible, we assure you that we will provide it.
We’re looking for volunteers!
The Moderation Team is still growing, and we’re looking for dedicated volunteers who share our vision of making ETF2L a better place for everyone. Applicants should already be familiar with the community and its culture. We will not consider known troublemakers or bad actors, we’re looking for level-headed, approachable people who can be trusted to handle sensitive situations with care. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply and help shape the future of ETF2L.
To apply simply send a email to staff@etf2l.org containing the following information:
- Name
- Your ETF2L Profile link
- Country of residence
- Age
- Previous experience
- Special skills or contacts that may help the league
- Available free time
- Your application
Please don’t feel restricted to these points only. Take into account that your application will reflect how keen you are on working with us, and will help make or break our decision on whether or not you are up for the task. (We also offer other staff positions at all time, simply visit our staff recruitment section.)
